Recognizing a critical need for preventive health care, local physician Oscar Lovelace encouraged Chapin-area resident Kevin Hite to bring his years of training and experience to serve the people in the communities from Irmo to Newberry. Their dialogue resulted in the establishment of VO2MAX, to offer health and fitness services in our area. A 1981 Chapin High School graduate, Kevin holds a B.S. in Health & Wellness from The Citadel (1990) and has 20 years fitness programming experience, including:

  • Strength & conditioning training - University of South Carolina
  • Wellness Director - Fairfield Memorial Hospital
  • Exercise Specialist - Human Performance & Rehab Center
  • Exercise Physiologist - Progressive Therapy Services
  • Assistant Athletic Trainer - Chapin High School.

Married with two children, Kevin is a member of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church, The American College of Sports Medicine, and The Citadel Alumni Association. Kevin is available for public speaking on topics related to fitness and health.
